Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season

In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
